driftless disc golf basket in rocks

I am a Senior Landscape Architect for SEH Inc, and we are currently working with the City of Rochester, MN Parks and Recreation Department on the design of the first phase for Gamehaven Park. This park is a 450 acre undeveloped natural area with a large reservoir, woodlands and plenty of topographic relief. A key component of the new park will be a championship level disc golf course.

We talked to Cale early in the process of developing our design team for this project. His approach, enthusiasm and technical knowledge made the decision to include him very easy. He’s now laid out a concept for the 18 hole course and it was impressive to see how he was able to quickly analyze the landscape and create a challenging and diverse course. We’re now collaborating with Cale on the details of that course such as adding trees, grasses and other features that will make this a truly unique experience.

Cale will also be laying out a family-friendly nine hole disc golf course in another part of the park. Our plans will be completed this fall with construction to begin in the spring of 2020. He has been a pleasure to work with and I strongly recommend him to anyone who is looking to develop a high quality disc golf course.
